W11-63 Model Roof Structure

In this project awarded by POLYSIUS, we had fabricated a furnace dross roof with regular 24-side cylinder shape. This steel roof required high accuracy in dimensions and allowed only slight deformation, its end-to-end distance were 4744mm (max.), 3114mm (min.). Such steel roof had weld beads of 352m (60m was for full-penetration weld beads). And the space for welding operation was very limited, which required high standard of welding skills.

The model W11-17 ROOF awarded by POLISIUS

In the project awarded by POLYSIUS, steel member model W11-17 has irregular shape like a big cylinder, with 16 brackets that divided itself into 16 components (22.5°) in average. W11-17 has a total length of 2600mm and a height of 1443mm. Since it is a complex structure, its welding work is very difficult to carry out and required special care during the fabrication.
